Oakwood Resources is changing the way senior finance and operations departments resource their teams and strategic initiatives, offering our proprietary Blended Model Solution by combining the expertise of interim management professionals with the knowledge and experience of accounting and consulting firms. Our founder is an internationally acclaimed and awarded interim management consultant and leader who is committed to developing new associates in the business, with the aim of growing their careers within the Oakwood Resources group.

Perhaps you’ve considered a recruitment or sales career and enjoy the goal-driven, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment but equally want a more strategic, thought provoking and consultative role. Our Associates undertake a three-year programme where they will learn all aspects of the business – including candidate resourcing and relationship building, business development and B2B sales, and commercial and operational leadership.

Your contributions as an Associate:

  • Use sales and marketing techniques to network and develop business opportunities across candidate and client markets
  • Develop a good understanding of interim managers, their skillsets, motivators and capabilities
  • Understand our client base and research market, competitor and industry trends to support business development and decision-making
  • Understand and articulate the Oakwood Resources service provision, operations and brand offering, including both commercial and support functions
  • Research and mine data to support the activities of the client and candidate managers
  • Use social media to help develop the Oakwood Resources brand and service offering, including posting relevant company content, researching candidates and companies and networking/sourcing with potential business contacts
  • Meet and exceed targets as set on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Bring your own ideas, interests and insights, leveraging your deep financial and commercial expertise – or possibly a hobby or pastime – to bring innovation to Oakwood Resources. What you bring to the role:

  • A University degree or 2+ years relevant business experience
  • Career and financial motivation as well as a drive to grow and progress
  • A basic understanding of business fundamentals and a desire to learn commercial and technical competencies
  • A self-starting, can-do attitude and drive to develop business relationships, whether via phone, in-person or digital communication (email, social media, digital platforms etc.)
  • A desire to contribute to a high-growth and ambitious business, at scale-up stage, with an appetite to grow and develop in line with the business
